Here is a little background on me!
I`m Javier! Let me tell you a little about myself... From a young age, I have had a passion for computers and technology. It was not rare to find me toying with a computer, or pulling apart a broken iPod. I just had to know how it all worked! To pursue this passion, I decided to enrol in Computer Science. I now have over 5 years of coding experience, both from personal projects as well as professional industry work. My love for tech is as strong now as it was when I was a kid, and this love is something I demonstrate through every project I take on. Projects
League Of Smurfs
- - A full stack CRUD web application to assist users in keeping track of their alternate league of legends accounts, as well as displaying game statistics for said accounts
- - The user will sign in using Google Authentication. Once authenticated, they will be given access to the names, usernames, and passwords for all the accounts they have added to the app. The user has the ability to add new accounts or delete old ones.
- - The user can click on the account name to display various statistics fetched from the Riot Games API, including, but not limited to, total wins, total losses, win rate, and rank.
- - As a security measure, the usernames and passwords are initially hidden. The user can click a button to reveal the login info for that account.
Warhammer 40k Army Builder
- - A full stack CRUD web application in which users can build their very own 40k army
- - The user will sign in using Authentication through the PHP server. Once authenticated, they will be given access to a non exhaustive list of factions and units from the 40k universe. The user can now start adding units to their custom army which is stored in the database.
- - If a specific unit or faction is not present in the database, the user can easily add them to it, making that new addition now available to go into the users army.
- - The app is complete with rule enforcment, not allowing a user to select units from two differing factions to be in their army at the same time. The user can also edit, and delete any of the factions, units, or armies they wish to.
Brain Hero
- - A game in which the user wears a device on their head which streams brain data as an input to a guitar hero type rhythm game. The brain data controls which notes are being played in game. Accompanied by music, the user must try to get as high a score as possible by hitting the correct notes in the order that they appear
- - Developed a simple graphical user interface to display which note the user was currently on, upcoming notes that the user would have to try and hit, and a score tracker
Unbeatable Tic Tac Toe Opponent
- - Implemented an unbeatable artificially intelligent opponent using the Minimax algorithm, which uses recursion/backtracking to find the optimal move every turn
- - Developed all the game logic, UI, and functionality of a Tic-Tac-Toe game in order to house both the player and the A.I opponent
Sudoku Solver
- - Applying a common A.I algorithm called backtracking, I created a Sudoku solving bot which will solve any Sudoku puzzle given to it
- - Developed all the game logic and UI of a Sudoku puzzle for the bot to work on and solve
